This morning I met my friend G. Campbell for breakfast. Some of the insights he shared on the King were incredible. I think what stood out the most was the thought of the Fathers pleasure when his sons are gathered together. An ancient prophet talked of how Jehovah, the King of Kings, the Creator of all, heard men gathered together talking with one another. About what? Apparently it didn’t matter, or mattered not enough to be mentioned. But the fact that His children were communing with each other so moved the King that He hearkened, and heard, or in more plain language: His attention was grabbed and He pressed in to hear. Then He recorded this fact in a book of remembrances for the day He gathers His jewels.
How beautiful when the Children of God gather…for nothing more than that they love each other.
